Our bar serves a variety of fine Indian wines and a selection of locally produced alcoholic beverages and spirits. Try Sikkim's popular beers such as Hit or Blue Dansberg or go for a locally produced Whisky or Cherry Brandy.
Yet if you desire a true introduction to the world of local drinks you cannot leave Sikkim without having tried the local millet-beer Chang or Thungba. Fermented millet is poured into a large bamboo- or wooden cup. Then hot water is added and left so absorb the taste. Thungba is drunk warm with a bamboo-straw and tastes somewhat like Japanese Sake.
